Lads,
THEFLATISEVIL and I have been out cruising a few different spots and have found a few absolute cracking hills:-
We hit Bathgate yesterday afternoon and found a derelict mental hospital about the size of a small village. Loads and loads of empty roads and buildings, no cars whatsoever. The main hill is about a mile long, really wide and mellow with the bottom section gaining a little speed - Max 35mph. Mainly carving and sliding orientated.
From there we left the hospital and found an absolute cracker. Probably just under a mile long with a couple of corners, quiet main road with hardly any traffic, we never saw a single car. You could hit some serious speed on this hill, we never had leathers so could only carve it up, you could easlily hit 50mph all day long on this hill!
This morning we hit Doune hill climb, the bottom section was a little sketchy, but once we hit the top we had a cracking drop in with a long run out, not much of a hill, but worth a wee swatch if youre in the area......we knocked on the hoose at the bottom and spoke to an old guy ( out of respect ) to make him aware of our presence. And also incase any cars decided to race!
We then drove to Perth to an absolutely cracking hill, Neil and I skated many years ago, but we used it as a carving hill. This time we got leathered up and bombed it. WHAT A FECKIN HILL!! Once again about a mile long with various corners, super smooth surface and easily hitting speeds of 40 - 45 mph if you wanted easily. We're bombing this hill but it could easily be carved or slid depending on what you fancied.
Bathgate and Doune aren't too far away from you guys, If you wanted to hit any of these spots, appreciate Doune is already up! get in touch.
