Thats Neil ( theflatisevil ) and I just back from flying the flg doon South.

Amazing, super smooth top section to the track, with the bottom part a lot like the sort of roads we tend to ride, rough as fuck.

Neil arrived aboot midnight so we decided to take a quick skate in the pitch black. It was sooooo dark all we could use to guide us were the white lines in the road. The road has been designed for the race in mind and never had cats eyes fitted. I could just hear Neil foot braking in the distance...... certainly got the adrenalin going.

First day was pretty windy + the rough road at the bottom meant crossing the line was a struggle, but we got a slight tail wind the following morning.

Only met one other Scot doon there, he was from Fraserburgh. Shame really, as this sites proves there are a few of us oot there.

WE ARE THE WORLDS HIDE AND SEEK CHAMPIONS

Maybe next year we should try and get a few of us doon there - just to show them how its done....

Sultana

It was as smooth as anything youve ridden + more. Its really a goofy track with its long right - into the mellow left.

I was so pleased that I managed to qualify, I was up against Jackson from Australia ( in the top 10 riders of the world ) I got off the ramp before everyone, really pushed as though my life depended on it, but instead of tucking after the ramp I decided to be a bit cocky and push on the road too....bad mistake as it caused me to wobble losing speed. Thus was overtaken by the whole pack. I was faster than the two guys ahead of me into the first corner, but had to airbrake due to them having right of way. Caught up on the rough section but once again had to steady myself......and by then it was too late.

The quickest qualifying time on the first day was set by Mischo 1.38 - my time was 1.57
The second day was much better with the tail wind, I came in at 1.39 putting me into the finals...

Felt like a dog with two cocks last weekend - real good buz with some quality people from all over the world.

Maybe we should start a thread for next years race and see how many people we can get
