Hi,
i'm gonna be buying wheels shortly for a new Dh setup. I'm riding 70mm(80A) blue krypto classic k(nice and slidey) at the moment and fancied something different. I've been looking at otang 4 prez, Flys, seismic speedvents. Don't want too much grip(need fairly easy slide for speedchecks). Anyone ridden these wheels? Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

hi,you want to avoid the orangutangs as they are grippy, also avoid the softer speedvents and blast waves for the same reason--maybe some harder blastwaves as they have a smaller contact patch and will slide better--i have orange blast waves, magenta speedvents, flywheels, avilas, that you are welcome to try if we ever get out of this cold snap....charlie--anybody seen will

Charlie,
what size and duro are your flys? How do they ride? I was considering 76mm 81a flys although i read that because there's not so much urethane on them, they feel alot harder than they actually are so its better to go for the duro below.
The 73mm 80a sky blue speed vents are supposedly the opposite, feel/ride softer compared to similar duros by other manufacturers. I did read this on silverfish so it maybe its shite anyway.
Cheers

hi,i have 74mm-75a flywheels and the 90mm too, same duro--last summer i accidently slid the board with the 74mm on and the urethane came off one wheel but i don,t know if that was a faulty wheel or not --you are right ,there is not much urethane on them so probably avoid--speed vents are my fav wheels by far but avoid the black ops formula as they have a high rebound
