Just to let you all know the paths are getting resurfaced around the ski centre area - the hill from the top of the park down the side of the ski slope is now smooth fresh tarmac!

For any first timers there is a smooth flat cycling track next to the sports centre at the other side of the park

Excellent, I shall have to take my freebord with me next time I'm down at the ski centre and give that fresh tarmac a go. Unless of course it's raining.

I go down there to ski mostly, I've tried snowboarding there but I find it really hard on the dryslope, so I save the boarding for trips to the snow. (Not to mention I'm much better at skiing than at snowboarding, part of the reason I bought a freebord is to try and help me get better at boarding.)

Oh, and I doubt you'll know me, I only started going back there last November and I usually try to avoid busy times.

Sorry to hijack this and turn it into a thread about snowboarding but ....

Does anyone fancy setting up a regular session at xscape over the summer? Apparently they are going to have the kickers and rails set-up everyday over the summer, which means it'll be nice and quiet to get in some practice, which I most defo need! (I had a bad spill last time I went and busted my leg)

I am heading down this Friday morning (with my brother and some guys from work) if anyone is interested, give me a pm.

Anyone use the snow flex place at Bearsden as well? I'm pretty close by but I've never tired it. Just wondering what it's like.

I haven't been on the slope at Bearsden, but I was down there with a mate who was taking photo's when TSA where doing a trial of next years stock. Slope looks really nice, I wish I'd taken my stuff down and had a go. (Although falling on my ass in front of so many talented riders woulda been kinda embarassing.) The bigger jump is slightly intimidating but I guess it's just a case of working yourself up to it.

Not sure how I feel about the new slope at Bella, it's not finished yet but it doesn't look quite as good.

As for a regular summer session, I'm going to NZ next month so I won't be going to xscape much. (Although I might be down thursday evening this week.) I do however know a guy who'd probably be interested. (I'm trying to get him into freebording too.)
